Starter maintenance steps
1、 First, cut off the power supply. (Remove the positive terminal connector of the battery)

2、 Remove the wiring of the electromagnetic switch, the two fixing screws of the engine on the vehicle body, and remove the engine from the vehicle.

3、 Remove the two fixing screws that secure the stator and rotor, and extract the stator from the body.

1. Maintenance of rotor

The head position of the rotor (with flywheel) can be extracted from the sleeve, and lubricating grease can be added to the sliding track of the flywheel. Lubricating grease can be added to the sleeve, and then re inserted. The tail position of the rotor is commonly known as the "copper head" (which is the joint point with the carbon brush), which can be lightly ground with fine sandpaper and left in place.

2. Maintenance of stator

The stator has 4 sets of coils, 4 carbon brushes, and 4 compression springs on the carbon brushes. Remove the carbon brush from the compression spring and gently grind the joint surface between the carbon brush and the copper head (in an arc shape). The back cover of the stator (also the back cover of the starter) is another maintenance point (the tail shaft of the rotor), and add lubricating grease to the back cover sleeve.

4、 After completing the above steps, you can proceed with the composite installation.

1. Firstly, insert the stator (housing) into the rotor.

2. After putting the back cover on, pull up the carbon brush compression spring, place the carbon brush in, and tighten the carbon brush screw.

3. Tighten the fixing screws of the two fixed stators and rotors (at this time, pay attention to the balance of force between the two fastening screws, and gradually tighten them in sequence, otherwise it will cause the rotor to operate unsmooth).

After completing the fourth step, you can rotate the flywheel by hand to test whether the rotor rotates smoothly. If not, adjust the two fastening screws.

5、 Install the starter motor after maintenance on the vehicle body, fix it, connect the electromagnetic switch wire, connect the battery wire, and complete
